The outcome of my no-purchase November

You may recall that last month I made a pact with myself to not buy any beauty products, clothes or shoes for the entire month of November.

Well, I am happy to report that my goal of saving money was a huge success! It was difficult, but I exercised some serious self-restraint. I didn't even walk down Fifth Avenue, step foot into Sephora or make any impulse purchases at the drug store.

And, want to know the best part?

Based on my bank account, I am pretty sure I saved at least $300! The extra money will surely come in handy when buying Christmas presents!

The only beauty products I bought all month were things I absolutely needed -- makeup removing towelettes (for travel), a bottle of shampoo and body lotion. That's it!

I have run out of a few products, including my Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover concealer and Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat highlighter, so a trip to Sephora is definitely in order.

Have you been splurging on beauty products lately or being thrifty like me?

  5. $300 dollars! Great job.

I'm trying to be thrifty myself as well. And it's definitely hard.

I'm currently having a giveaway over at my blog (giving away 2 one year subscriptions to a magazine). I hope you can hop over and check it out.
