Well, I am happy to report that my goal of saving money was a huge success! It was difficult, but I exercised some serious self-restraint. I didn't even walk down Fifth Avenue, step foot into Sephora or make any impulse purchases at the drug store.
And, want to know the best part?
Based on my bank account, I am pretty sure I saved at least $300! The extra money will surely come in handy when buying Christmas presents!
The only beauty products I bought all month were things I absolutely needed -- makeup removing towelettes (for travel), a bottle of shampoo and body lotion. That's it!
I have run out of a few products, including my Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover concealer and Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat highlighter, so a trip to Sephora is definitely in order.
Have you been splurging on beauty products lately or being thrifty like me?
wow congrats on your success! i'm really impressed with your self-restraint! everytime i told myself to have a no-buy and it'd turn out to be an epic fail...LOL
ReplyDelete@Jennifer usually I suck at saving but something came over me! One month is really not that long and I am happy I saved so much!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!! i know that if i put my mind to it, i can save too, not sure if ill be putting myself to that test anytime soon, especially with the month of december coming up :)
